Full Moon on  the 29th  is the traditional "Harvest Moon" or "Corn Moon"  because this is the one that falls closest to the autumn equinox.  Most of the time (2 out of 3 years) the Harvest Moon is in the month of September.  Sometimes it will come in October.  It name comes from the fact that farmers (and Indians) could harvest their crops late at night, by moonlight, because  for the few nights around the Harvest Moon, the Moon seems to rise at nearly the same time each night: just 25 to 30 minutes later across the United States.
